SHE/THEY
With a career spanning over two decades, Gail Neves has dedicated her work to redefining trauma therapy through a unique blend of neuroscience, somatics, and psychedelic-assisted healing. WHO I WORK WITH
adjunctive trauma therapy
I work within an adjunctive model, meaning I only see clients who already have a primary therapist. My role is to provide specialized trauma processing, EMDR intensives, and psycholytic therapy to complement existing care. In addition to direct client work, I offer consultation, supervision, and training for clinicians seeking to deepen their expertise in complex trauma, EMDR, and psychedelic-assisted therapy. Whether you’re a client looking for advanced trauma support or a clinician seeking guidance, I provide ethical, integrative, and research-backed approaches to healing.

A PERSONALIZED, ETHICAL APPROACH
trauma therapy that meets you where you are
Healing from trauma is a deeply personal process and my approach is designed to adapt to each individual's needs. Holding a strong social justice lens my practice operates in an anti-oppressive framework centering inclusivity, neurocomplexities and cultural competence. Welcoming participants from all walks of life including those who are gender expansive, LGBTQIA+ and those exploring ethical non-monogomy.
a harm-reduction framework
My work is informed by clinical research, holistic practices and the lived experiences of myself and clients alike. Over the years as a therapist treating a variety of mental health issues it has become evident that suffering in humanity is not just caused by individual traumatic experiences but problematic structural systems, ancestral burdens, stigma and fear based cultural norms that create collective trauma. We are layered and complex and sometimes a layered and complex treatment approach is best.
Using a harm reduction framework I support participants who are navigating healing traumatic stress. There are many paths to transformational healing. My approach prioritizes understanding how the client relates to their story, ways they wish to shift their narrative and troubleshooting the barriers to getting to where they want to be all with the support of evidenced based models, safety planning and ethical treatment approaches

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
psycholytic vs. psychedelic

Psycholytic therapy, using a low dose of psychedelic medicine, invites a softening to experiencing strong emotions. This modality allows clients to remain aware and in a non ordinary consciousness during the session.

Psychedelic therapy, using higher doses of psychedelic medicine, allows for peak experiences and altered consciousness that can lead to radical shifts in insights, self limiting beliefs, and profound mystical journeys.
COMMUNITY HEALING
giving back
Giving back is an essential part of my practice. I offer sliding-scale options for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and community mental health clinicians to increase accessibility in trauma care. A portion of my income each month also suppots Indigenous reciprocity efforts through the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines, honoring the cultural roots of healing practices that inform my work. I strive to create a more inclusive and ethical future for trauma therapy by investing in individuals as well as the community.
