integrative therapy

Therapy is like art and providing therapy with one tool to inspire or invite healing can be limiting. Gail weaves several kinds of treatment modalities into their practice. Having the ability to pivot and offer a different perspective, changing from a top down to bottom up approach or inviting a ritual into the session that aligns with the clients spiritual beliefs can create a canvas for an attuned, meaningful and deep healing experience.

psychedelics

A POWERFUL MEDICINE

When psychedelics are used carefully and purposefully, they can enhance the therapeutic process. However, the popular but misguided idea of simply “trusting the medicine” can be harmful and problematic. Healing traumatic stress and complex trauma presentations requires careful planning, the support of others, and well-structured interventions. Models such as Trauma Integration Protocol advocates for a thoughtful and informed approach, using these substances as tools within a clear therapeutic framework. By staying mindful of their potential risks and not focusing solely on their benefits, we can unlock their full potential in a safe and effective way, advancing the field of mental health treatment.

Clients who are interested in pursuing Psychedelic Healing sessions are screened for appropriateness, have a primary therapist in place, are given ample time for preparation, resourcing tools for dosing sessions, and are invited to engage in adjunctive integration therapy following their psychedelic journey.

psycholytic intensives

Low dose psychedelic therapy has been called microdosing, psycho-revelation therapy and Psycholytic healing. Gail's practice adopts the term Psycholytic due to the non-directive and free association techniques that are often paired with psychoanalysis which was the first kind of structured therapy paired with low dose psychedelics.

Psycholytic intensives involve diagnostic evaluation and screening, preparation sessions, low dose psychedelic medicine combined with evidenced based protocols in an extended session format and integration or re-evaluation sessions. These are series based, short term, intentional healing sessions meant to complement existing therapy for targeted treatment on traumatic material. Gail focuses on collaboration with a primary therapist, prescriber and any other providers as an ongoing part of treatment.
